1. Information We Collect

When you use Social Manager, we collect:

• Account information (username, email) provided during registration
• Instagram account data when you connect via Facebook Login (username, account ID, access token)
• Content you upload (images, videos, captions) for scheduling and publishing
• Usage data (login times, feature usage) to improve our service

2. How We Use Your Information

• To publish content to your Instagram account on your behalf
• To schedule and manage your social media posts
• To generate AI-powered captions using your provided API keys
• To display analytics and engagement metrics from your Instagram account

3. Instagram & Facebook Data

When you connect your Instagram account via Facebook Login, we access:

• Your Instagram Business/Creator account profile (username, ID)
• Permission to publish content on your behalf
• Basic page information from your linked Facebook Page

We only access data necessary to provide the posting and analytics service. We do not read your DMs, followers list, or personal Facebook profile data.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Your data is stored securely in encrypted databases
• Access tokens are stored server-side and never exposed to the browser
• API keys you provide (BYOK) are used only for your account
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties

5. Data Retention & Deletion

You can disconnect your Instagram account at any time from Settings, which removes your stored access token. You may request full account deletion by contacting the administrator.

6. Third-Party Services

We integrate with:

• Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Graph API — for publishing and analytics
• Cloudinary — for media file hosting
• LLM providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI, Groq, OpenRouter) — for AI caption generation, only when you provide your own key
